Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our hospitality or institutional facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in cleaning and custodial services, and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role is vital in ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining a clean environment, and managing a team of housekeeping staff effectively.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment.
  • Implement and monitor cleaning schedules, floor care routines, and special projects such as industrial or deep cleaning.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with health regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with management to develop staffing schedules and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in housekeeper management, including supervising teams and coordinating cleaning operations.
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods.
  • Experience with hotel housekeeping standards or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
