Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our hospitality or institutional facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in cleaning and custodial services, and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role is vital in ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining a clean environment, and managing a team of housekeeping staff effectively.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment.
- Implement and monitor cleaning schedules, floor care routines, and special projects such as industrial or deep cleaning.
- Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with management to develop staffing schedules and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong background in housekeeper management, including supervising teams and coordinating cleaning operations.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping standards or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
