About
Job Summary
Bruma Studio is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Carpenter / Millworker to join our luxury custom millwork team. This role is responsible for building, assembling, and installing high end residential millwork including kitchens, closets, wall paneling, built ins, and other custom carpentry elements. The ideal candidate has proven experience in finish carpentry, understands precision craftsmanship, and can work both in the shop and on job sites while maintaining Bruma's elevated quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly
- Build custom millwork components according to shop drawings and specifications
- Cut, shape, and assemble wood, veneers, and architectural panels
- Ensure all materials and finishes meet design intent and quality standards
Installation
- Install cabinets, wall panels, vanities, and built in millwork on site
- Ensure perfect alignment, leveling, spacing, and finishing
- Perform adjustments, modifications, and touch ups as needed
Technical & Quality Control
- Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Perform accurate site measurements when required
- Inspect completed work for precision, defects, and structural integrity
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces in shop and on job sites
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and contractors
- Communicate progress, challenges, and material needs promptly
- Follow deadlines and ensure work aligns with project timelines
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in carpentry, millwork, or finish carpentry
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and joinery
- Skilled in the use of carpentry tools, machines, and installation equipment
- Ability to read and execute detailed shop drawings and floor plans
Professional Requirements
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and millwork pieces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in luxury residential millwork
- CNC or woodworking machinery experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
