Description

The Open Range resides within the Historic Sheridan Inn in beautiful Sheridan, WY. We are

looking to add to our team in our Wyoming meets upscale dining environment. Qualified

candidates will thrive in the hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior

service to our patrons. Bartenders are integral to the guest experience, as many travel to sit at

the Historic 1893 Buffalo Bill Bar. Bartenders will service beverages and food at the facility and

provide a high quality service oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Maintain professional appearance at all times

● Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies

● Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of bar area(s), glassware and equipment

● Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed

● Collects payments for drinks/food served

● Greets and provides immediate attention to guest, making them feel welcome

● Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory are

available

● Prepares garnishes, mixes, syrups, etc based on needs of current menu offerings

● Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned

● Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming

legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests

● Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

● Learn menu items and their preparation as to best inform guests

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements

● 1-2 years bartending experience preferred, though we are willing to train the right

candidate

● Must be of legal age to serve and handle liquor according to state law

● Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common drink recipes

● Must have strong guest orientation

● Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment

● Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Must be dependable

● Must be able to lift 20lbs and stand for period of 4-6 hours

● Must obtain TIPS or similar certification within 60 days of employment
