We specialize in high-volume, new residential production trim, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and reliable service to top-tier general contractors and homebuilders. Our reputation is built on a commitment to operational excellence, ensuring that complex projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

Job Description

Our integrated service model, from supply to professional installation, makes us a trusted partner in the region's competitive residential construction market. We are expanding our sales team to drive market growth and are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our dynamic environment. This is a significant opportunity for a sales professional with strong industry contacts and experience in residential, multi-family, and commercial construction. If you are a results-oriented individual with an existing network and the drive to close contracts, Heavin Woodwork offers the robust support and capacity to deliver on your sales goals, uncapped commission.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of finish carpentry applications (trim, molding, millwork, etc.). This role involves building and maintaining relationships with residential clients and ensuring their project needs are met with precision and professionalism.

Duties

  • Develop and Manage Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with general contractors, residential home builders, architects, designers, and homeowners.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and expand existing accounts to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Product Expertise & Presentation: Effectively present and sell finish carpentry products and services, highlighting product benefits, quality, and value.
  • Estimates and Quotes: Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to develop accurate material lists and provide detailed, prompt project quotes.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (operations, production, customer service) to ensure smooth order processing, scheduling, and timely delivery/completion of projects.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to inquiries, follow up on orders, and assist in resolving any client concerns.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Networking: Attend trade shows, builder meetings, and networking events to enhance market presence and generate new leads.

Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably selling building materials, millwork, finish carpentry products, and installation.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes and finish carpentry applications (e.g., crown molding, baseboards, cabinetry, doors, windows).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings; proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Math Skills: Strong mathematical skills, including basic geometry, for accurate measurements and material calculations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Requirements: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for travel to client sites.

This Sales Manager position is ideal for a driven professional eager to make a significant impact within our organization by leveraging their expertise in outside sales, management, and strategic business development.
