JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations as it relates to a
focused customer channel. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external customers,
ensuring clear communication, high service levels, and effective execution of new product launches. The ideal
candidate excels in cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and driving operational excellence in a
fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of supply chain experience, ideally within consumer goods or food service industries, with a
focus on longโlead time supply planning.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and logistics
operations.
- Proven experience communicating directly with customers and leading cross-functional initiatives;
New Product Introduction (NPI) experience preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and supply planning tools; advanced Excel skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a
fast-paced environment.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE IMPACT:
1. Customer Communication & Service
- Serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for assigned customers, providing timely updates
on demand, supply status, and service performance.
- Lead regular supply or business review meetings with key customers to align on forecasts, supply risks,
mitigation strategies, and service metrics.
Manage escalations and coordinate resolution of customer issues by partnering with operations,
planning, logistics, and commercial teams.
2. New Product Launch (NPI) Management
- Lead supply chain readiness for new product introductions, coordinating closely with cross-functional
stakeholders.
- Develop and manage NPI supply plans, including material availability, supplier readiness, production
ramp-up schedules, and inventory strategies.
- Ensure timely completion of key project milestones, such as sourcing decisions, component
qualifications, pilot builds, and first-shipment readiness.
- Track launch execution, identify risks early, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful product
release and sustained supply.
Continuously improve NPI processes, tools, and playbooks to enhance future launch performance.
Demand, Supply, and Inventory Management
Co-own the demand and supply alignment process for assigned product categories in partnership
with demand planning, supply planning, sales, finance, and operations.
- Participate in S&OP/IBP meetings and support alignment on demand forecasts, supply plans, capacity,
and stocking strategies.
- Monitor customer demand performance, analyze trends, and identify discrepancies or issues requiring
corrective action.
- Identify supply risks and opportunities; develop data-driven mitigation and optimization plans to
support service and inventory goals.
4. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of Supply Chain Leads, providing guidance, coaching, and performance
feedback to support professional growth.
- Set clear priorities, allocate workload effectively, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and
customer expectations.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement,
and cross-functional partnership.
- Support the team in resolving complex supply, inventory, or customer-related issues, escalating when
necessary
- Proactively communicate supply constraints, delays, and recovery plans to maintain transparency and
strengthen customer relationships.
