Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

I.    POSITION OBJECTIVE 

 To perform the duties of a Rail Car Loading Operator within the HDPE III Department.

II.    MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 

Relieve shift properly
2.    Check silo levels
3.    Inspect Loading stations
4.    Inspect Hopper cars for defects
5.    Operate Locomotive
6.    Weigh Hopper cars
7.    Perform minor Hopper car repairs
8.    Switching knowledge
9.    Perform Loading Operator Round Inspections
10.    Perform minor repairs to loading equipment
11.    Perform magnet and screen inspections
12.    Maintain log book
13.    Provide samples to the lab
14.    Clean work area per THM
15.    Adhere/Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, Federal and State laws, regulatory and company requirements
16.    Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.

18.    Employee is responsible for managing hazardous and non-hazardous wastes as required by State and Federal regulations and in compliance with FPC-TX policies regarding hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
19.    Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
20.    Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
21.    Perform other duties as assigned.

III.    QUALIFICATIONS
A.    TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA 
1.    Previous Related Experience Required

1-3 years Rail Car Loading experience preferred but not required. Valid Drivers' license required.

2.    Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job 

1.    Troubleshooting-Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
2.    Reading Comprehension-Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
3.    Monitoring-Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly.
4.    Writing-Communicating effectively in writing on work-related documents.
5.    Speaking-Talking to others to convey information effectively.
6.    Computer Skills-Ability to use email, excel, and other computer related software need for entering railcar information in the system. 

3.    Education 

1.    High School graduate or equivalent

4.    Other Certification/Training Required


•    Will require training in Company Policies and Procedures after hire. 
•    Current employees must meet all technical and safety training requirements for current position, as specified in the Master Training Plan.
