SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for day to day management of the maintenance mechanics in the areas of manufacturing equipment and repair, facility, utility maintenance and repair. Ensures compliance of all Safety,
GMP, Food Safety policies and procedures along with all Federal, State and Local environmental rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinate, schedule and take hands-on approach to leading a proactive maintenance group in a fast-paced world class manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and participate in root cause failure analysis for a wide variety of plant process involving hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum and refrigeration.
  • Lead the development of World Class Standards and procedure for operation and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative and predictive

maintenance program and insure compliance with the department's preventative maintenance procedures and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).

  • Assist with developing and executing continuous process improvement projects focused on increasing plant efficiencies and equipment reliability.
  • Be a mentor to the maintenance personnel.
  • Support and encourage a culture that values a safe and clean work environment (5S).
  • Manage maintenance processes or systems to ensure

compliance with product specifications, GMP, Policies, procedures, corrective action processes, corrective action processes, and continuous performance
improvement.

  • Responsible for ensuring excellent housekeeping for the maintenance area as well as in the execution of the maintenance works in the production area.
  • Responsible for identifying and championing opportunities within maintenance processes/systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for ensuring 5S compliance in the area.
  • Responsible for managing, coaching and providing

appropriate development to employees to achieve optimum performance.

  • Leads and manages the communication process with the technical group to ensure to provide with clear expectations.
  • Responsible for creating an environment that facilitates team work self-management and employee involvement in a daily work, problem solving and continuous improvement process.
  • Builds and manage relationships with internal and external customers (Walmart) to achieve objectives.
  • Supervise, develop, and motivate the Maintenance Mechanics in the areas of manufacturing, facility and utility equipment troubleshooting

and repair.

  • Aggressively manage all break down maintenance requirements to successful conclusions. Schedule

(via the department's Work Order system) and direct the day-to-day activities of the maintenance mechanics to achieve safe, timely, and satisfactory work.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of manufacturing equipment functionality and schedule necessary repairs or suggest changes in operating methods in order to improve plant operations.
  • Track, measure, and document the performance of the maintenance mechanics on an individual basis. Complete annual evaluations as required.
