Role Summary

  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships while developing new accounts.
  • Drive volume, revenue, and profitability through proactive prospecting.
  • Ideal for someone with a hunter mindset and experience in industrial OR marine coatings

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or Technical)
    or
    equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years
    of sales or business development experience in
    industrial OR marine coatings
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally (about 60%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial sales experience.
  • NACE certifications (plus, not required).

Physical & Work Conditions

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
  • Occasional exposure to industrial chemicals and environments.
  • Frequent travel by car within the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hunt for new prospects to
    grow territory sales
    .
  • Provide product information, updates, and technical support as needed.
  • Secure and renew orders while maintaining high service levels.
  • Build and execute a
    territory sales plan
    focused on new business and repeat business.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to support customer needs.
  • Address customer issues promptly (complaints, returns, claims).
  • Monitor and report competitor activity, customer trends, and market shifts.
  • Prepare annual sales plans identifying key markets and target accounts.
  • Occasionally serve as a
    Field Technical Service resource
    when required.
  • Support all safety and quality expectations.
