CNC - Machine Programmer / Operator
Job Summary: CNC Machine Programmer/Operator will be responsible for set up, light programming of equipment, and operation of machinery to mill raw wood products into specified shapes and dimensions with exacting attention to detail and quality at each step. Various other duties, including furniture prep and assembly work are assigned as needed.
Experience/Education:
- High School or GED preferred; formal post secondary technical training is a plus
- Willing and able to work in a collaborative, creative, team setting
- Knowledge of CNC machinery including point to point, panel saw, Komo Router, boring and edge banding machines as well as a variety of traditional woodworking equipment
- 2 to 3 years experience on similar equipment in a manufacturing setting is required
- Basic computer, software knowledge
- Alpha Cam knowledge a plus
Abilities:
- Ability to set up for production run including entering coordinates and some programming, as well as problem solving - trouble shooting
- Ability to read shop drawings, routing sheets, schematics, and blueprints
- Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals
- Keeps equipment operational by overseeing preventative maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions and trouble shooting basic problems
- Able to use measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, depth gauges, thickness gauges to check tolerances for precision alignment/fit
- Must be able to continuously check work and understand how components will connect to complete end product avoiding downstream problems
- Maintain accurate records for production processes, parts tracking, and end product completions
- Work in a safe, professional manner including proper use of personal protective equipment, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and observing safety rules and equipment warnings
Physical Demands:
- Standing for most of the shift, bending, twisting, lifting of milled and raw wood products weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, sometimes heavier lifts may be required depending on materials; pushing and pulling of materials and/or carts and lifts
- Able to perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
- Must possess manual dexterity and good eyesight, corrective glasses are fine

Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday, 6:30AM-4:00PM
- Friday, 6:30-10:30AM
- Scheduled overtime is possible during busy season to meet project deadlines
