Direct Support Professional

We are looking for…

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) who will provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities. After School are provided to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in Brooklyn . Trained staff members work with individuals on a number of goals, including ADL skills, socialization and academic needs. These goals will increase the individual's potential for independence, individualization and productivity. Staff will work with individuals on these goals and make notes of their progress.

After School program runs (6) days per week, to help individuals cultivate academic growth and develop social skills, time is from M-F 2pm-8pm & Saturdays 7-3.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities in regards to counseling, training in activities of daily living, behavior management, and community integration as well as posse great teamwork and communication skills. Must have a valid NY drivers license in good standing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
