Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook grilled items with precision, ensuring consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to support smooth kitchen operations.
  • Follow established recipes and menu guidelines while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
  • Manage food handling procedures responsibly, including proper storage, sanitation, and waste disposal.
  • Support the culinary team in meal assembly and plating to deliver visually appealing dishes.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and workstations in a clean, organized manner to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet service times and guest expectations during busy hours.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and health standards at all times.
  • Assist with catering orders or special event preparations as needed.
  • Demonstrate excellent knife skills for efficient food prep and consistent cuts.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is essential.
  • Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong knife skills for efficient prep work.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
