Position Summary
In your role as a Scrubber Engineering Tech, you'll be part of the PCS team responsible for the purchasing, installation, set-up, maintenance, improvement, and removal for the vacuum pumps (P), chillers and heat exchangers (C), and gas abatement scrubbers (S), used by the main process equipment for all groups.
You'll also be responsible for all on-site gas abatement scrubbers, assisting in the troubleshooting/resolution of our most complicated operational issues and execute projects to improve the overall performance of the scrubber module.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Monitoring the daily operations logs of PCS Operations, and scrubber vendors to maintain awareness of scrubber issues, and develop improvement items in order of impact to company.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators for scrubber performance to pro-actively identify and resolve any issues prior to impacting production.
- Ensure quality operations by scrubber vendors through maintaining training methods, SOP's, issue investigation, development and implementation of countermeasures.
- Manage monthly invoices including detailed review, and engage in needed warranty discussions.
- Evaluate any equipment changes, and recommend to deny adoption and implementation.
- Work with scrubber vendors to ensure all on-site vendor FSE's consistently meet expectations.
- Coordination between engineering groups and auxiliary equipment vendors to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- The ability to perform Quality Assurance inspections of others work.
- Be able to schedule and prioritize tasks with little or no supervision.
- Perform actual maintenance tasks on scrubbers in time of need. A strong focus on quality workmanship (or verification of work performed by vendors) is crucial to success in this position.
- Will be required to support various engineering CIP projects within the PCS department.
- Vendor management.
- Specific tasks may require specialized PPE including use of airline respirator.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
- 2 year college degree or technical school certification.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Semiconductor or high volume manufacturing experience preferred.
- Extensive experience as equipment technician with equipment ownership experience(R&M) required.
- Previous experience with vacuum pumps, refrigerant based chillers, or gas abatement scrubbers preferred.
The current base salary range for this role is between $ $60.40. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
