About the Role:
A & M CARGO EXPRESS LLC is looking for a motivated Inventory Control Specialist to help keep our logistics operations running accurately and efficiently. In this vital position, you'll ensure precise product tracking, maintain data integrity, and support smooth warehouse and distribution workflows. We're seeking someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and update inventory levels in real time across multiple storage areas.
- Perform routine cycle counts and full audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, overages, and misplacements.
- Work closely with warehouse, receiving, and dispatch teams to coordinate product flow.
- Maintain detailed logs for transfers, adjustments, and damaged goods.
- Create and apply labels to ensure clear and accurate identification of all items.
- Support stock rotation and proper storage practices to keep the warehouse organized.
- Prepare inventory reports and offer suggestions to improve operational efficiency.
- Follow all company safety policies and contribute to a clean, well-organized workspace.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with inventory software, spreadsheets, and digital tracking tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on warehouse tasks when needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Reliable, self-driven, and able to work independently.
- Problem-solver with a proactive and initiative-taking mindset.
