First/Second Grade Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1st and 2nd-grade teacher to join our team at Top Kids Christian Academy Private School. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. This position requires strong classroom management skills, a thorough understanding of early childhood development, and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards for 1st and 2nd-grade students.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and observations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's academic and social progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
• Incorporate technology into teaching to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for 21st-century skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Experience working with young children, including those with special educational needs.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (recommended but not required) Bachelor's in other fields are accepted; Master's degree preferred (not required).
• State certification or licensure to teach 1st and 2nd grade (recommended but not required)
• Previous 3 years or more experience teaching early elementary grades preferred.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and educational theories.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage classroom activities, assessments, and records effectively.
• Commitment to professional growth and development.
