Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook for Back of House (BOH) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety and consistency. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen setting, contributing to the overall dining experience. Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry is highly valued, along with strong culinary skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety protocols
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
  • Support kitchen staff during busy service periods, coordinating meal preparation and plating
  • Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and meets quality standards
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering services
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with dietary department requirements or dietary aide experience is advantageous
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to handle rush without sacrificing quality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
