Warehouse Associate

Local family operated food distribution and wholesale business is searching for a part time Warehouse Associate to join our family. We need a hardworking professional who can work mostly on his or her feet. Work safety, efficiency and accuracy are very important, so we need a professional who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions properly, and double check his or her work before completing a task.

Summary:

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Location: City of Industry, CA

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time

Hours: Monday to Friday

Pay: $19 to $21 per hour depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

l Ship and receive merchandise, unloading and checking in merchandise;

l Prepare orders for delivery, pulling materials, packing pallets/boxes, placing orders in delivery area, treat merchandise with care and concern at all times;

l Sort and place inventory according to organizational standards;

l Maintain and organize inventory in the warehouse, assist in counting of physical inventory;

l Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times;

l Other warehouse related work assigned by supervisor; and

l Operate company vehicle(s) to pick-up from local suppliers, or deliver orders to local customers. Ensures that trips are run safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations. Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.

Qualification Requirements:

l Must be a minimum of 18 years of age;

l Must have a minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience, large vehicle driving experience or delivery experience preferred;

l Ability to read, write and communicate in basic English, High School diploma or equivalent preferred;

l Dependable and reliable hard working individual with good organizational skills, 1 - 2 years previous warehouse experience preferred; and

l Experience working with forklifts and pallet jacks preferred.

Physical Demands:

l Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear;

l Regularly lift and/or move objects 20-50 lbs.; and

l Ability to work on your feet for extended period of time.
