Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support our supply chain and procurement operations. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and services essential for production and business continuity. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in ERP systems and supply chain management within a dynamic organization.

Duties

  • Assist in procurement activities using ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400.
  • Support materials management, inventory control, and logistics coordination to ensure optimal supply chain flow.
  • Conduct sourcing and supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation accurately within various ERP platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, merchandising, and warehouse to align procurement needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Contribute to supply chain optimization initiatives including e-commerce procurement processes and pricing strategies.
  • Assist in contract management, supplier evaluation, and performance tracking to ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of materials management, MRP, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, negotiation, and contracts.
  • Familiarity with logistics, inventory control, production planning, and merchandising is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and systems related to supply chain management. This position is integral to maintaining efficient procurement operations that support our company's production goals and overall supply chain effectiveness.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Part-time

Pay: $ $28.79 per hour
