Job Summary/Basic Function

Part-time adjunct instructor of Introductory Bowling. To teach one or two Physical Education activity courses per semester as needed. Successful applicants will be required to meet twice weekly with each assigned class, and to teach the basic skills associated with the sport of bowling.

**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

Candidate should have bowling coaching experience, with a minimum USBC Level I Certification, prefer certification as a USBC Level 2 Coach Instructor, or USA Bowling Bronze and/or Silver Coaching certification. Group teaching experience, and league bowling experience, especially service as a league officer helpful, as well as prior coaching experience in other athletic areas, or in a physical education environment. Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements of this position

Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.

Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
