Job description

Linden Hall is looking for an HVAC/Maintenance Technician for our school campus located in downtown Lititz. The HVAC/Maintenance Technician will be a part of our Facilities' Team maintaining systems and equipment, performing preventative maintenance and repairs.

The responsibilities of the HVAC/Maintenance Technician include:

• Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, changing filters, bearings, and belts.
• Basic ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, or oral instruction on a variety of issues related to HVAC.
• Perform other facility-related duties including maintenance of systems and equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' related work experience including HVAC experience.
• Understanding of methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment.
• Plumbing/electrical experience a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures while using chemicals, power tools, hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow procedures installing, testing, operating, or repairing machinery or technology systems.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices and Safety Data Sheets.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform professionally and independently as well as collaborate with the Facilities Team.
