Job Description:
Smartsheet Platform Administration

*Hybrid onsite work schedule - 3 days per week in office.

  • Serve as the primary Smartsheet System Administrator, managing user licenses, security settings, access controls, support tickets, and governance
  • Monitor platform performance, manage integrations (e.g., Jira, and other third-party apps), and ensure data integrity.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, naming conventions, and governance standards for sheets, reports, and workspaces.
  • Stay current on new Smartsheet features, releases, and capabilities, and drive adoption.
  • Leverage Smartsheet Control Center to standardize project/program creation, structure, and reporting—particularly around Portfolio Epic/Value Stream and Execution/Project Blueprints.
  • Gather stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into scalable Smartsheet solutions (sheets, forms, reports, workflows, dashboards).
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Smartsheet solutions—from design and pilot to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Dashboard & Reporting
  • Design and maintain executive, portfolio, program, and project-level dashboards that provide real-time portfolio visibility.
  • Create complex reports and formulas to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Align reporting and dashboards with key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic objectives to support informed decision-making.
  • Lean Portfolio Management & Agile Enablement
  • Support Lean Portfolio Management processes including strategic alignment, demand/resource management, and portfolio prioritization.
  • Partner with PMO/LPM teams to optimize processes and leverage Smartsheet capabilities for efficiency and predictability.
  • Training and Support
  • Develop and deliver user training, documentation, and best practice guides for varying user levels.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Smartsheet automations, workflows, and formulas.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience as a Smartsheet Administrator, Solution Architect, or similar role.
  • Deep technical expertise in Smartsheet, including Control Center and Blueprint management.
  • Proven ability to build complex, data-driven dashboards and reports for executive and portfolio use.
  • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet premium apps/integrations such as Data Shuttle, Dynamic View, Jira Connector (highly desirable).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Smartsheet Certified User, Product Certified, or Certified Consultant.
  • Familiarity with other SaaS tools Management (e.g., Docusign, Figma) a huge plus.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or large-scale environments is strongly preferred.
