About the Role
We're seeking an
Accountant
to join our Client Advisory & Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to build strong technical skills, gain exposure to multiple industries, and develop into a future Junior or Senior Accountant and/or Manager.
You'll support the monthly close process, assist with financial reporting, help maintain clean and accurate books, and work directly with senior team members to ensure high-quality client deliverables. What You'll Do
- Assist with
monthly and quarterly close activities
, including reconciliations, journal entries, and schedule preparation of Financial Reports. - Support the creation of
management reports, financial statements, and KPI dashboards
. - Help maintain and improve accounting workflows across
AP, AR, and expense management
. - Work within cloud-based accounting/tax systems (QuickBooks Online, CCH ProSystem fx Tax, and other tools) to ensure clean and accurate client books.
- Prepare
cash flow updates
, basic forecasting inputs, and financial data summaries for senior accountants and managers. - Coordinate with the tax team on
trial balance readiness, 1099s, sales/use tax data pulls
, and other compliance items. Also, participate in personal and business tax preparation. - Assist with
process documentation, SOPs, and checklists
as systems evolve. - Participate in client onboarding and help gather necessary financial information.
- Communicate directly with clients on routine questions, requests, and follow-ups.
What You'll Bring
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience
, ideally in public accounting, CAS/outsourced accounting, or multi-entity environments. - Solid understanding of
basic GAAP principles
, reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial statements. - Proficiency with
Excel/Google Sheets
(lookups, pivots, formatting). - Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online, CCH ProSystem or similar financial or tax software.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, client-facing environment.
- CPA eligibility or interest in pursuing CPA
is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to service-based, field services, or construction industries.
- Interest in financial reporting, budgeting, or Financial Planning & Analysis as future development areas.
