Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage inventory control, transportation management, and ensure seamless shipping and receiving processes.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed Warehouse and Inventory goals for quality, OTD, safety, efficiency and profitability
  • Leads, develops, directs, coaches, and evaluates the performance of Warehouse operations
  • Write and deliver performance reviews and have periodic discussions on performance with direct reports ensuring accuracy, honesty and timeliness of delivery
  • Effectively identify and address performance management issues as they arise. Give recognition in a timely manner for good performance
  • Leads hiring, training, terminations and succession planning for team
  • Implement initiatives to promote a safety culture to drive toward zero incidents
  • Lead operations for logistics
  • Evaluation of equipment and direction of repairs when needed
  • Recognize and implement Continuous Improvement/ LEAN at the shop floor level
  • Enforce the general rules of the plant, including safety, PPE, dress code, etc.
  • Maintaining the housekeeping standards. Ensure plant is ready for a customer tour by auditing 5S standards and driving 5s tools and methodologies
  • PTO and timecard approvals completed daily
  • Supports and builds a culture based on the core values of Commercial Plastics
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and inventory operations
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Liaise with clients both internal and external, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan work, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of a 2-year degree in business or related field or 5 years related experience

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit (using a computer), reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and walk. The employee might occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is often required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50, $65,000.00 per year
