Associate Attorney

We are hiring for our client, a respected boutique civil litigation firm, that is expanding its
Insurance Defense / General Liability
practice and seeking an
Associate Attorney
. This role offers meaningful responsibility across a broad range of liability matters, with direct partner collaboration and regular involvement in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. The firm fosters a mentorship-driven, attorney-led environment that supports long-term growth, professional development, and trial readiness while maintaining a sustainable workload.

The Opportunity

You will handle a diverse caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters, working closely with experienced partners and support staff. The firm emphasizes professional development, trial readiness, and a sustainable workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage
  general liability defense matters
  , including:
• Premises liability
• Personal injury
• Medical negligence
• Wrongful death
• Related civil litigation claims
• Take and defend
  depositions
• Appear at
  hearings, mediations, and trials
  (trial experience preferred, not required)
• Draft
  pleadings, motions, discovery, and case reports
• Collaborate directly with
  clients, partners, and litigation teams

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD)
• Active Florida Bar admission (required)
• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
• Prior
  insurance defense experience strongly preferred
• Strong
  legal writing, organization, and time management
  skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based practice

Compensation & Incentives

• Salary range: $120,000–$160,000
  , depending on experience
• Quarterly billing expectation:
• 500 hours per quarter (approximately 167.5 hours per month)
• Quarterly bonuses
  for meeting billing targets
• Additional compensation paid for hours worked above the requirement
