Night Manager

Overview

The Night Manager oversees all overnight operations for both Conco and Inn on 95. This role keeps the properties running smoothly after hours, handles guest needs, supports safety and security, and ensures the morning team receives clean, accurate hand-offs. You'll act as the senior on-site leader during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services

• Handle late check-ins, room moves, and guest issues
• Resolve complaints and service failures professionally
• Monitor occupancy, no-shows, early departures, and walk-ins
• Ensure guest safety and maintain quiet-hour enforcement

Operations

• Complete nightly audits (or assist the auditor if separate)
• Verify daily cash handling, credit card settlements, and folio accuracy
• Prepare shift reports, logs, and turnover notes for the morning team
• Inspect property for cleanliness, lighting issues, HVAC problems, leaks, and other maintenance needs
• Make sure all overnight cleaning tasks are completed (lobby, hallways, public spaces)

Safety & Security

• Perform property walks at scheduled intervals
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access points
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or guest incidents
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required
• Ensure proper documentation for all incidents

Team & Leadership

• Supervise overnight staff (front desk, housekeeping runner, security)
• Train new overnight employees
• Enforce company policy and brand standards
• Escalate critical issues to management when needed

Requirements

• Hotel or property management experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently overnight
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Familiarity with PMS systems, cash handling, and night audit processes
• Must pass background check
