Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in detailed carpentry work, including trim, cabinetry, and finishing touches on residential and commercial projects. This role requires a skilled professional capable of interpreting blueprints, working with various hand and power tools, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship on time and within specifications. The Finish Carpenter will play a vital part in ensuring the completion of projects with precision and attention to detail, contributing to the overall success of our construction and restoration projects.
Responsibilities
- Install interior and exterior trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and fixtures with accuracy and attention to detail
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute project specifications
- Perform framing, drywall finishing, plastering, stucco application, and metal stud framing as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication techniques efficiently and safely
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry work when required
- Conduct restoration tasks including water damage remediation, mold remediation, water damage restoration, and general renovation work
- Measure accurately for cuttings and installations; ensure proper caulking and sealing for finished surfaces
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials needed; assist with construction estimating when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support other trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or HVAC as part of integrated project teams
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter or in similar construction roles with a focus on detailed finish work
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and schematic reading skills
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), CNC equipment preferred
- Experience in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing (wooden or metal), cabinetry installation, wood ceiling beams, door hanging, fixture installation
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices such as water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically capable of working on ladders or scaffolding for extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license; experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
