Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer / Windows Server Administrator will design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and on-prem technology solutions with a strong emphasis on AWS Cloud Engineering and Windows Server Administration. This role requires hands-on expertise across cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, serverless technologies, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate will support enterprise Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), automate cloud infrastructure, implement security best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesCloud & Solution Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud solutions using approved tool stacks
- Build and maintain cloud-native, full-stack solutions on AWS
- Design and develop serverless APIs using AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateway
- Implement event-driven architectures leveraging AWS Lambda and AWS DynamoDB
- Leverage AWS native services to optimize performance, scalability, and cost
Infrastructure & Automation
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools:
- AWS CloudFormation
- AWS SAM
- Terraform
- Script and automate tasks using Python, PowerShell, and
- Implement cloud networking solutions including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups
DevOps & Monitoring
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Apply DevOps best practices to streamline development and deployment processes
Windows Server & End-User Support
- Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
- Provide system administration, troubleshooting, and vendor/end-user support
- Maintain operational stability across Windows and SaaS environments
- Document procedures, prepare reports, and resolve technical issues efficiently
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with senior engineers and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, testing, and operational standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation
- Participate in R&D initiatives and continuous skill development programs
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the AWS Cloud Platform
- 10+ years of Windows Server Administration (2019 & 2022 required)
- Strong experience building full-stack applications using:
- React
- TypeScript
- Experience implementing serverless back-end solutions using AWS Lambda and DynamoDB
- 8+ years of scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, )
- Solid understanding of Git, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
- Experience supporting on-prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer – Associate preferred)
- Microsoft Server Engineer certifications
- Passion for learning emerging technologies and cloud best practices
