We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Follow loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to goods and equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation, safety procedures, and maintenance checks.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to wear all mandated PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
