We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials in a safe and efficient manner. This role is critical to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will play a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy and order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport raw materials, finished products, and other goods.
- Load and unload trucks and other vehicles with efficiency and care.
- Stack and stage materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in logistics or a similar fast-paced environment is a plus.
