Join our team as a Material Handler in Columbus, Ohio, and become an essential part of our supply chain. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. You will operate various equipment, assist with inventory, and ensure that materials are readily available for production or shipping. Responsibilities:
- Move, sort, and stage materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring the safe handling of all items.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ensure that all materials are stored correctly and securely.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and maintain a hazard-free work area.
- Wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely material availability.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all company procedures and protocols for material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual labor and frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics principles.
- Strong awareness of Safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
