Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for organization? Our bustling distribution center in New York City, New York is seeking a diligent Picker/Packer to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and speed of order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and meticulously preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and pick lists.
  • Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
  • Pack orders with appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
  • Verify order details and quantities against shipping labels.
  • Operate hand-held scanners to track inventory movements.
  • Stage packed orders for shipment, ensuring proper routing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics setting.
  • Must wear designated PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.
