Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of inventory management principles and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and operational excellence. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory variances, and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments. Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations to identify and address root causes of inventory inaccuracies.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, variances, and adjustments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed, including accurate data entry.
  • Participate in audits of inventory processes and records.
  • Support the logistics department by providing accurate inventory data for planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with WMS software. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve Lifting up to 50 pounds. Commitment to Safety and efficient logistics operations.
