We are seeking dedicated and reliable Distribution Center Associates to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include operating various warehouse equipment, performing inventory counts, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is essential for the smooth flow of our supply chain and requires individuals who are detail-oriented and committed to safety protocols. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming inventory.
- Sort and place inventory in designated areas.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Follow all guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
