Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment and infrastructure within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will perform routine inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth flow of goods. Your expertise will be vital in keeping our operations running efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on warehouse machinery, including conveyor belts, forklifts, automated systems, and other operational equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing effective repair solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent costly breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to strict safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to identify and address any technical challenges.
  • Adhere to all required PPE protocols while on the job.
  • Be prepared for lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
