Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility, ensuring that our Logistics operations run smoothly. Your duties will include operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and managing inventory. We value individuals who are safety-oriented, reliable, and possess strong mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper placement and securing.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to and from various departments.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure operability and Safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
  • Organize and stage materials for shipping, production, or other warehouse functions.
  • Keep the work area clean, orderly, and free from hazards.
  • Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely.
  • Ability to perform regular Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Logistics systems and inventory control.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Willingness to wear all required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
