Your responsibilities will include verifying incoming orders against purchase orders, inspecting items for damage, documenting receipts, and coordinating the movement of goods into the warehouse. This role requires strong organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and an understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Verify accuracy of incoming merchandise against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects upon arrival.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Label and tag incoming inventory appropriately.
- Communicate any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Stage received goods for put-away into the warehouse.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Adhere to proper lifting techniques and seek assistance when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
