We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our bustling warehouse in Austin, Texas. This role is vital for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments, playing a key part in our supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. You will be responsible for verifying, documenting, and preparing shipments, managing inventory flow, and ensuring all packages meet shipping standards.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing inventory movements.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Ensure that all shipping and receiving areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and utilize required PPE .
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Support overall warehouse logistics by assisting with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including **Lifting** up to 45 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
