Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Material Handler to support our warehouse operations in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our facility, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and prepared for distribution accurately and safely. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, possess excellent organizational skills, and be committed to upholding rigorous safety standards. You will be involved in loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials using appropriate equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Transport materials from receiving areas to designated storage locations.
  • Stage materials for production or shipping departments.
  • Accurately record inventory movements and update the inventory management system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any malfunctions.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counting procedures.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize material flow and efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Certification to operate specific types of forklifts or other relevant machinery is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics .
  • Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and procedures within a warehouse setting.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and operating powered industrial trucks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
