Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods and inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating equipment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely processing of orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping aisles and loading docks clear.
- Follow established logistics procedures for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Must be proficient in lifting and securing loads appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
