Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming inventory from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all received goods for damage or defects, documenting any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system promptly.
- Stage products for put-away or distribution.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal teams regarding receiving activities.
- Support the overall logistics and inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system use.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
