Overview We are a digitally transformed, tech-enabled security services company. We’re looking for an experienced backend software engineer to join our small but ambitious technology team, thriving in a dynamic, startup‑paced environment.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far and need talented engineers to grow smoothly. This role offers an opportunity to support our innovative products and expand our existing platform by breaking it down into smaller flexible services.
What You Get
Excellent salary of £55k‑£59k per annum (DOE)
Full‑time, permanent, flexible working basis with the ability to work from home but must travel to our London Farringdon HQ twice a month for TKC Collaboration days or as/when required

What You'll Be Doing Creating new services to support our product family Contributing to design and architecture discussions
Writing well‑designed, testable, metrics‑driven code
Writing automated tests to ensure product quality
Transforming our existing platform into a new event‑driven microservices architecture
Discovering and trialling new tools to introduce to the company to grow the Agile development environment
Utilizing cloud technologies to confirmé? Wait doc?) .
What We're Working With
Programming Languages: Python, Kotlin, Terraform, Java, JavaScript (Node), TypescriptDatabases: Aurora, Postgres, Snowflake
Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
Other technologies: Kafka, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Datadog
What We're Looking For
You’re great at leveraging modern development techniques to create back‑end solutions
You’re ambitious and looking to advance your career
Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment
Experience working with cloud-native technologies, specifically with AWS
3+ years proven commercial experience as a software developer or a similar role
Experience using Python or Kotlin – JavaScript, Java, or another modern language is a bonus
