*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Dentist to join our reputable dental practice committed to providing exceptional oral healthcare for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in pediatric dentistry and a passion for creating a positive dental experience for young patients. This role involves comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of various pediatric dental procedures within a supportive and patient-centered environment. The Pediatric Dentist will collaborate with our team to ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations while delivering high-quality care.
*Duties*
* Perform comprehensive pediatric dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical/dental history review
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to pediatric patients’ needs
* Conduct routine and complex procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery
* Utilize advanced dental technology including Dental imaging, Medical documentation systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix
* Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
* Engage in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
* Educate patients and guardians on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options
* Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery and uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence
* Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and dental fabrication techniques
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
* Valid state dental license with specialization or certification in Pediatric Dentistry preferred
* Proven experience in pediatric dentistry, including proficiency in oral surgery, root canal therapy, dental extractions, and other specialized procedures
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques
* Experience working with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable
* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families
* Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
