Technical Sales Engineer – North UK Location: Home-based, covering North England, North Wales & Scotland Salary: £55,000 basic + bonus + benefits Contract: Permanent, full-time We are recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer for a well-established, high-reliability electronics distributor/manufacturer to manage and grow the North UK territory. This is a field-based, consultative sales role supporting customers with electronic component selection and design-in, while delivering against revenue, pipeline and activity KPIs across aerospace, defence, rail and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities * Manage and develop existing customer accounts across the North UK * Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities * Support engineers with design-in, component selection and qualification * Conduct customer meetings, site visits and technical reviews * Work to defined sales targets, pipeline and activity KPIs * Collaborate with internal sales, product management and suppliers * Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and activity reporting Candidate Requirements * Proven experience in Technical Sales / Field Sales / Applications Engineering * Strong understanding of electronic components (semiconductors, passives, interconnects, power, electromechanical) * Background within electronics distribution or manufacturing * Experience selling into hi-rel or regulated industries * Commercially aware and comfortable working to targets and KPIs * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally Package * £55,000 basic salary + bonus * Company benefits and pension * Home-based role with regional autonomy * Established customer base and quality product portfolio This role suits a technically credible sales engineer who enjoys combining design-in support with commercial responsibility
