*Job Summary*
Caplock is seeking an experienced *OpenText Process Automation Architect / Developer* with *hands-on, production experience* designing and implementing solutions on *OpenText Process Automation (formerly AppWorks)*. This role supports enterprise-scale case management and business process automation initiatives and requires direct platform expertise—not adjacent BPM or low-code experience.
The successful candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support secure, scalable automation solutions using OpenText Process Automation in complex operational environments.

*Key Responsibilities*
*Architecture & Solution Design*
* Architect end-to-end solutions using *OpenText Process Automation (AppWorks)*
* Design case management models, business objects, lifecycles, and process flows
* Translate business requirements into executable Process Automation solutions
* Define application structure, data models, and integration patterns
* Provide technical leadership and design oversight
*Development & Configuration*
* Configure and develop applications directly within *OpenText Process Automation*
* Implement workflows using *BPMN 2.0*
* Develop custom logic using *Java, JavaScript, XML, XPath/XQuery*
* Build and extend Process Automation UI components
* Implement business rules, lifecycle actions, and event handling
* Perform debugging, unit testing, and performance tuning
*Integration & Platform Services*
* Develop and consume *REST and SOAP* services within Process Automation
* Integrate with:
* OpenText Content Server
* OTDS / LDAP / Active Directory
* External enterprise systems and APIs
* Implement secure integration patterns and error handling
*Operations & Support*
* Support deployment, environment promotion, and release management
* Troubleshoot platform, application, and integration issues
* Assist with upgrades, patches, and platform maintenance
* Produce technical documentation and solution artifacts
*Must Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)*
* *Hands-on experience with OpenText Process Automation (formerly OpenText AppWorks)*_(Candidates without direct Process Automation/AppWorks experience will not be considered)_
* Experience developing *case management and BPM solutions* on the platform
* Proficiency with *BPMN 2.0*
* Java development experience in enterprise platforms
* Experience building and consuming *REST and SOAP APIs*
* Experience integrating Process Automation with ECM systems and external applications
* Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Pay: $107,888.10 - $175,929.76 per year
