About
*Job Summary*
FTR is bringing an advanced embedded electronics product to market, with a focus on networked audiovisual technologies for professional environments. With conceptual design and proof-of-concept complete, the NPI Operations Program Manager will lead the industrial design, manufacturing, compliance, and production, ensuring robust execution and long-term product success.
This role is a remote position, working as part of a focused team, together with internal resources and external vendor partners, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Innovation.
*Essential Functions and responsibilities*
* Oversee industrial design, mechanical engineering, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM/DFA) to ensure the successful launch and sustainment of innovative products in a dynamic environment.
* Manage supply chain design, schedule, and quality to support product launch, to include leading vendor selection, tooling, prototyping, pilot runs, and production ramp-up.
* Manage compliance (FCC, CE, RoHS) and quality control programs.
* Cross-coordinate between product stakeholders, internal technical and marketing teams, and 3rd-party vendors to ensure seamless execution of product development and mass production.
* Guide ongoing production, cost optimization, and product improvements post-launch to ensure successful production transitions within cost and quality parameters.
* Work on a hands-on basis, executing all aspects of the project guidance and long-term success.
* Responsible for the ongoing production of comprehensive documentation, including technical specification and implementation details.
*Minimum Qualifications*
Experience:
* A minimum of seven years or more of practical work experience in electronics product development management or related role required, with the technical expertise needed to be considered a seasoned contributor, able to work independently in position responsibilities.
Proficiencies:
* Proven experience taking products from post-concept to volume production
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and compliance requirements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presentation abilities.
*Preferred Qualifications*
Experience:
* Embedded Linux environments, NXP processors, and/or Yocto Linux
* IP-based audiovisual technologies
* Electronics design, tooling and manufacturing
* Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and professional AV transport standards

*Education*
* Degree: BS, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field preferred.
* Certifications: Project Management or related certifications a plus.
*Travel Requirements*
Up to 25% for in-person meetings off site as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
