*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders using medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
* Develop and implement tailored therapy plans focused on improving speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding skills.
* Provide engaging therapy sessions for pediatric patients, including those in early intervention programs, ensuring a positive and motivating experience.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physicians, educators, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care strategies.
* Monitor patient progress regularly through assessments and modify therapy techniques accordingly to optimize outcomes.
* Educate patients and their families about speech therapy exercises, physiological processes, and strategies for ongoing improvement.
* Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare standards.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience working in school settings or pediatric environments with a focus on early intervention.
* Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and patient assessment techniques specific to speech therapy.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with families, educators, and healthcare professionals.
* Ability to perform patient care with compassion while maintaining professional standards.
* Active State licensure as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
