We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level IT Network Technician to join our team.
*Job Description:* As an Entry-Level IT Network Technician at First IT Solutions, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding IT support to our clients. This position requires a proactive individual with the ability to handle fast-paced and high-stress situations efficiently. You will be responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide support for incoming requests to the service desk via telephone, web portal, and email to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems efficiently.
* Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, issues, and resolutions.
* Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive support and solutions.
* Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Drive to client locations regularly, maintaining reliable transportation for on-site support.
* Provisioning and system set up for new hires.
* Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
* Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests.
* Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined.
* Installing and configuring hardware and software components throughout various network infrastructure devices.
* Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date.
* Server administration via Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP.
* Network firewall and switch administration and maintenance.
* Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
* Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
* Ensuring company safety and security standards are met.
*Qualifications:*
* Technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Working knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Friendly demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Ability to handle fast-paced and high-stress situations with composure.
*Required Skills:*
* Experience with Windows operating systems.
* Familiarity with common IT tools and software.
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other common cloud-based platforms and services.
* Proven experience with ConnectWise or similar professional services automation tool.
* Proficiency in managing service tickets in structured environment.
* Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
* Experience with configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
