About
Take on a leadership role as a Warehouse Supervisor at our Grand Rapids, Michigan location. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to Safety standards. You will manage a team of warehouse staff, coordinate workflow, and implement best practices in logistics and inventory management. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Maintain a high standard of Safety and ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, Safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain management.
- Address employee concerns and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role within logistics. Must have proven experience in managing teams and optimizing warehouse operations. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds, is necessary. A comprehensive understanding of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment is mandatory. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Must be proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS). We are committed to fostering a Safe and productive workplace and expect supervisors to lead by example.
