Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our significant logistics hub located in Baltimore, Maryland. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting audits, and implementing best practices in inventory management within our fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize stock levels.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
  • Manage inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of all inventory items to maximize space and facilitate easy access.
  • Monitor inventory for damages, obsolescence, or expiration and report accordingly.
  • Uphold all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics and inventory control processes.
  • Assist with tasks that may require lifting or moving inventory items to verify counts or locations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret complex inventory data and reports.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with material handling equipment is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Must be capable of performing tasks that involve occasional lifting.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
