Mott MacDonald Canada is involved in major rail and transit infrastructure projects and is seeking a Systems Engineering and Integration Lead to support public and private‑sector clients. Responsibilities- Lead the Systems Engineering and Systems Integration elements of bids and projects within Mott MacDonald Canada, including system architecting, requirements management, and budget development/management.
- Develop, adopt, and deliver key Systems Engineering and Systems Integration processes and practices (SE, SI, RM, CM).
- Provide technical advice and leadership on Systems Engineering and Systems Integration management activities.
- Offer strategic and tactical support for Communication Systems, Signalling & Train Control, Traction Power, and Systems Assurance for MM rail projects across Canada and the US as needed.
- Support the development of MM Canada’s Rail Systems Practice.
- Select, develop, and work with key delivery partners and service providers for projects.
- Present to clients and project team partners.
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Software, Engineering Physics, or Systems) from an accredited university.
- P.Eng in British Columbia, Ontario, or Alberta, or eligibility to obtain within 6 months.
- 12+ years’ progressive experience in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Integration, especially in rail, transit, or other public infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable strength in at least two of the following (with working knowledge of the remainder):
- System Engineering lifecycles
- Systems Architecting
- Requirements Management
- Integration and Interface Management
- Systems Assurance
- IEC 1528
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences
- Well‑developed knowledge of railway systems and operations within infrastructure projects
- Experience defining and directing systems engineering and integration testing activities to meet project goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills for planning, leading, and documenting technical meetings with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulators
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplined team
- Capability to hold competent technical discussions with client representatives
- Interface skill with domain specialists, design managers, and construction project managers in a professional manner
- Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate interface and interoperability risks from safety and program management perspectives
- Proactive pursuit of personal and professional development
- Successfully managed a team
- Confident and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Accurate and detail‑oriented
- Proactive self‑starter who is flexible and eager to learn
- Ability to build good working relationships with business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $118,000 - $152,000 .
