About
Senior Scientist, Analytical Development (Separation Sciences) at AbCellera. You will join the Analytical Development team and lead the Separation Sciences sub-function, overseeing continuous improvement of platform analytical test methods and the introduction of new test methods and analytical technology. As an Analytical Lead on CMC programs, you will work to meet all analytical requirements, progress CMC programs to regulatory submission, and provide post-approval support.
Responsibilities- Establish laboratory workflows and best practices for the Analytical Development Separation Sciences sub-function.
- Generate high-quality data in support of Analytical Development, GMP-enabling method fit-for-purpose testing, method qualifications, and regulatory filings.
- Aggregate and present data to the Analytical Development team and across CMC.
- Author technical reports to support regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to CMC technical teams through investigation support, data generation, interpretation, and presentation.
- Collaborate to support evaluation of preclinical drug candidates as part of Early Manufacturability Assessment.
- Research and evaluate technological advances in analytical chemistry.
- Connect experimental design and execution to key business objectives.
- You have demonstrated expertise in therapeutic biophysical and biochemical protein characterization focusing on protein separation technologies and/or protein analytics in academia or industry.
- You have a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 5-8+ years of related experience; or a MSc with 10-12 years of industry experience.
- You are an innovator eager to develop new approaches to therapeutics discovery and development.
- Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (Benchling), experimental data capture, and 21 CFR part 11 compliance; understanding of regulatory filings such as INDs, BLAs, and IMPDs.
- You are an outstanding communicator and team player, motivated to work with a team on challenging problems with speed.
Salary range: CAD $105,600 - $132,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
